I can't complain much about the weather. I live in Dubai where tempreture almost never goes bellow 20-16 C°. Winter is a luxury for me now. I had just few days of winter this year when I went to Toronto and when I went back home in Italy. These pictures I took in Porto Sant'Elpidio where my parents live and where I was living while ago. Feel so nostalgic for those days. Love Italy so much. Say "Italy" and I can't stop thinking of coffee, gelato, pasta, smell of fresh bakery, of mozzarella, of prosciutto, mortadella and so on...And now guess where do I fly tomorrow morning? It must be Italy, right?! :)) Milano here I go, babe!!!!
Hi beauties! How are you? Thank you so much for Birthday wishes and lovely words. You made my day wonderful. The look I'm sharing today is an inspiration from Stella Jean SS2015 Collection. I am madly in love particularly with the mix of patterns Stella used in her collection, colorful midi or pencil skirts, the stripped tight waistband. Haiti motif that she used completely takes you to the land of palms and greenery, harsh sun, white beaches and crystalline sea.
For those of you who like beaches and sea I will post very soon about Audace Gioielli accessories.
You can see one on my wrist arm in Dubai's flag colors.
You might think that is an expensive outfit. Nothing like that, dears. You can get it with a smart budget. Just check the links bellow this post. I have another good news for you. If you're looking for the right watch and you like Daniel Wellington brand you can save now 15% on any purchase until 31 of March. More than that they offer free delivery. How cool is that? Use the discount code "NICOLETA" when you shop on www.danielwellington.com
As you seeeeee... my flatemate (my cousin, my sister, my partner in crime) - Irina (Shkira as we all call her since she was a little (naughty) gilr) and I ...we are in a explosive moods this weekend in Dubai :) Luckily we got days off on weekend and non of us had to fly somewhere. Clothoholic, shoppoholic and fashion victim both of us. We got a huge problem in our massive apartment. Thousands square metres apparantly are not enough for our clothes :d :d :d (one of us have to move away soon). We do shopping together sometimes but the intresting things happen when we shop separately. We buy similar items most of the times :)) Like this joyful sweaters. Thats why we decided to share these two funny looks with you and maybe to create a series in the future. Hope you enjoyed this post! :)
White and beige, or soft/light brown (call it camel) color are my favorite colors for coats. Classy and easy to match with any other color, patter, etc. As you can see in these pictures the plaid pattern of my scars are just the perfect macth to this coat. Or that stripped turlteneck sweater brakes the neutrals with more dynamic vibe and plays perfectly a mix&match game with the plaid scarf. Yay or Nah?!
Cinderella is proof that a new pair of shoes can change your life.
In celebration of the release of Disney’s live action film inspired by the classic fairy tale Cinderella, Disney Consumer Products has collaborated with nine luxury designer shoe brands across the globe to create a collection that re-imagines Cinderella’s iconic glass slipper and will be on display at Level Shoe District in Dubai Mall (UAE).
The shoes will be exclusively displayed at Level Shoe District (Dubai Mall) form March 11 to 24.
The designers included in the exclusive Cinderella exhibit are Jimmy Choo, Charlotte Olympia, Salvatore Ferragamo, Nicholas Kirkwood, Alexandre Birman, Paul Andrew, Rene Caovilla, Jerome C. Rousseau, and Stuart Weitzman. Swarovski, which produced the iconic glass slipper for the film under the direction of Academy Award-winning costume designer Sandy Powell, also provided the crystals featured in the designers’ shoes.
JIMMY CHOO: “I think every girl desires a Cinderella moment in their lives. This story ignites a love affair and fascination with shoes that never dies. The power they have to transform is instilled from a young age and the fantasy remains alive forever. I wanted to create a shoe that felt magical, with alluring sparkle and a feminine, timeless silhouette evoking those childhood emotions.” Sandra Choi, Creative Director Jimmy Choo
CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA: ‘This transparent platform shoe made with my signature PVC & perspex materials is adorned with star and crystal detailing as befits any princess.”
SALVATORE FERRAGAMO: “The magic of a shoe that turns a woman into a princess and gives her the feeling of walking on clouds is a universal dream. A modern Cinderella fairy tale of rediscovering a soft sensuality and a powerful femininity. A shoe made of transparency and light: the cage heel, an iconic symbol of Salvatore Ferragamo, is covered with Swarovski crystals and is transformed by sparkling impalpability.” Massimiliano Giornetti
NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD: “Cinderella has both delicate and strong qualities as a character. The moment of transformation emphasizes both and gave me the design inspiration to create a piece that spoke to the film’s magic.”
ALEXANDRE BIRMAN: “My vision of the glass slipper was inspired by the timeless and feminine beauty that I believe Cinderella and the Alexandre Birman brand both share. I reinterpreted our classic Johanna pump, this time giving it a fashionable and romantic twist with satin and Swarovski crystals. It’s a shoe I imagine a modern princess would wear.”
STUART WEITZMAN: “Cinderella in 2015 has a timeless appeal. The diamond and translucent bootie enhance the vision I have of her.”
PAUL ANDREW: “Cinderella’s glass slipper represents every woman’s dream shoe. The story, being a classic, inspired me to use my iconic pointed toe silhouette, which I embellished with an array of hand encrusted Swarovski crystals to create the ultimate fantasy shoe. I used transparent PVC to create a ‘glass’ effect and ivory suede for luxurious texture and dimension.”
JEROME C. ROUSSEAU: “The stroke of midnight is a wonderful element of the Cinderella fairytale, it adds tension and intensity to the story. I was inspired by that when I designed this style for Cinderella and the result is a dramatic midnight-blue glitter sandal on a sky-high heel. The clear strap is reminiscent of the crystal slipper, while the refined gold and silver trims add the right amount of whimsy to the design. I wanted to create something that, if left behind, the Prince would feel even more captivated by Cinderella’s allure.”
RENEE CAOVILLA: “‘Works of arts called shoes’ to grant wishes and raise emotions. Passion and never ending research don’t draw the line at fantasy and creativity. This is how dreams come true in our fairy tale.”
Here you have another "Garconne Style" look. As you see I become addicted to a boyish (that looks to me more girlish), yet feminine style lately. Suprisingly it is soooo easy to style such a look. Think you wake up in the morning, open your wardrobe and choose just a pair of jeans and a blouse then make a tie bow around your blouse neck. And here you go!!! Found it so chic and Parisienne :)) What do you think about this look?
