In my shoes | Weekend reading
Tamara Mellon is my hero. Tamara Mellon is my inspiration. Tamara Mellon is an incredible women.
A few weeks ago I was looking for Man Repeller or The Blond Salad book. I haven't found either one of them but another one caught my eye. The beautiful book cover of "In my shoes". I liked the title. I had a business shoes idea years ago and the name I chose was In my shoes. So I was more than curious to read the intro of the book. When I read that the author is the co-creator of Jimmy Choo I needn't to finish the introduction. I bought it. I have carried it in all my trips to Paris (see the last pictures? that's the buffet table in the Hyatt hotel :D), to London, to Amsterdam (on Instagram). I've carried it even when I finished reading it. Tamara's story seems so personal to me. Probably her childhood reminded me somehow of my own or I am just a very emphatic person. I would tell you all the details about how she is running a global business while raising alone her daughter, how difficult was to stand up with creative ideas when no one in Jimmy Choo's managment was intrested in them (even Jimmy Choo) while passing through an awful divorce but you will never understand why I carry this book with me if you won't read it. Enjoy it and come back to share your thought.
